We talked to our neighbor about building a garden in our shared meadow yesterday, and she seems amenable to us approaching where we think the property line is, but not getting too near it. It will make for a smaller area, but if we stretch it we can still get to around 2000 square feet, which makes for a good start. Planning to get started on that this week, cutting fence posts, mowing, and trimming the manzanita and overgrown willow.

Spent awhile flipping some of the raised beds in the back garden, harvesting the carrots and beets from the fall -- carrot harvest was pretty decent, beet harvest was weak. Peas are beginning to sprout, and we planted a variety of greens as well as cilantro, cabbage, radish, and rapini.

Tendersweet Carrots. Many of these grew long and look how you'd expect carrots to look.
